TITLE: Part Time Child & Family Advocate

DESCRIPTION:
Work with assigned child victims and his/her family to assess needs and facilitate access to medical exams, services and/or counseling as needed. Maintain case file documentation in accordance with professionally accepted standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED with extensive experience or training in child abuse, child welfare, advocacy or family services required. BS in Social Work, Child Development or related field preferred. Those working toward degree in related fields are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate is organized with exceptional communication skills. Computer/ clerical skills needed for case tracking and recording. The candidate will be comfortable working with professionals and non-professionals in the community. Job specific training provided. The candidate chosen to fill this position will be cleared through a criminal background check before beginning work at the Athens- Limestone Children’s Advocacy Center.

COMPENSATION: $10.00/ hour

HOURS: 10 hours per week. Maximum of 550 hours per year
